Wisdom is mentioned all throughout the Bible. Wisdom allows us to discern what to do in different situations. It is also a gift from the Lord. Wisdom is a vital aspect of any life, and is especially vital in Christian life.
Proverbs 14:15 – “The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.”
James 1:5 – “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Proverbs 12:15 – “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.”
Proverbs 18:15 – “The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.”
Colossians 3:16 – “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
Luke 21:15 – “For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.”
Proverbs 29:11 – “A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise [man] keepeth it in till afterwards.”
Proverbs 10:1 – “The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son [is] the heaviness of his mother.”
Psalms 19:7 – “The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD [is] sure, making wise the simple.”
James 3:13 – 3:14 – “Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.”
