Faith is what leads us through our life as Christians, as we can’t see God, but have faith to see what He does. Our faith also reflects what we read and hear from the Bible. Before people lived by faith, laws kept them bound under certain rules. We are freed by our faith to believe in God as our Savior. But we can’t just have faith, we must show our appreciation for being saved by our actions. This is supported in James chapter 2 which is below. We should show our faith and beliefs through actions. We shouldn’t treat our faith as a one-way street where God does stuff for us. We should do works to show our appreciation for all he has done for us. Like James said in James 2:17, “In the same way faith, if it doesn’t have works, is dead by itself.” Faith is much more than just believing. It is an active discipline that we must have as Christians. Every day we walk by faith, and every day we should show it.

Faith verses:

2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Romans 10:17 KJV: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. ”

Romans 1:17 KJV: “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. ”

Hebrews 11:1-3 KJV: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. ”

Galatians 3:23-25 KJV: “But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. ”

James 2:14 KJV: “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him?”

James 2:17 KJV: “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. ”
